The Wonderbug sees babies everywhere. There is her baby brother, of course, and her dolls. There are the cornhusk dolls we made last fall, and the corncob doll that Laura cares for in Little House in the Big Woods. There is the rock baby in the lovely storybook Elizabeti' s Doll. There are the babies the Wonderbug draws, and the babies she makes herself. These are feathers wrapped carefully in wool, a scrap of cloth with knotted head and hands, a branch with wax crayoned eyes and smile, and now this.
A paper towel tube doll with long, black hair. She was especially pleased with the stripes that the residual glue made on the dress.
